Sojourning with the Sisters is one of the Circumstances in Sunless Sea that is linked to the story of the three sisters of Hunter's Keep.
Interactions
When you arrive at Hunter's Keep you can explore the area before talking to the sisters. The first interaction changes the Sojourning with the Sisters state to "You know something of Hunter's Keep" while the second interaction changes the state to "You are acquainted with the sisters".
After having lunch with either Lucy or Phoebe, they might tell you a story. If they do, your Sojourning with the Sisters status will change to "You are now acquainted with the sisters, but something has changed". This status will not appear on your Circumstances but the game will register it anyway as it is a necessary requirement for having lunch with Cynthia.
